Yes, attached to our career choice is income and this is important for funding our chosen lifestyles. This can’t be ignored. Even my 12-year-old son is aware that income levels vary depending on your choice of career. But in addition to income there are other factors that contribute to our overall sense of wellbeing. These include social connection, identity and one’s sense of purpose. In essence, the ‘who’ and the ‘why’ of the career exploration puzzle and that’s where I come in.
